Dear babes! It's a brand new year, and because this is our blog, we have decided to talk about us. We have never revealed much of ourselves to many as we are pretty private peeps, but for this first day of the year we have decided to share an itsy bitsy wee bit about who we are, what we do and why we do what we do. It's a word-worthy post, please bear with us!
We are a very small team of 4. We have dear JoJo, who has never done modelling professionally, but has agreed readily to be OUR MODEL for an indefinite period of time. What a gem she is! She is never late for shoots, always smiling even after 3 hours of harsh strobe lights upon her face, and does her utmost in striving for new poses. After half a year of working with us, don't we all agree that she has turned quasi-professional? Thank you dearest JoJo!
Sharing snippets of behind the scenes with all you lovely babes here taken from an iphone while the photographer sets up the studio! Vanity is in the air as our lovely model gets herself all ready to be in the limelight! And her patient love is never far away, giving her his silent unwavering support. :)
While she colors her dolly face and asks the mirror who is prettier, there is a teamboy, known as J, who is hard at work behind the scenes. He is the one who is in charge of getting the lighting in place. The photographer is so amateurish that she does not have an inkling as to how to place the lights, and neither does this mystery man initially. So they struggle together, and after some trials and errors (and many sessions in the same studio), he hit it, and we are ready for the first snap! *Click!* J hates to live in public eyes, and so we spare him, and his (not-at-all-ugly!!) face! J takes over the photography work as and when he is in the mood. By this we all know that means only one thing: he ain't normal like the rest of us in the team. That is, he ain't as crazy as the babes, who can sometimes get close to delirium over shoots that should or should not materialize. Lolz. Thank you J, for maintaining the sanity when we start yelling at each other! Muackkkss!
The other 2 sweet teammates play an utmost important role. Without them we would have toiled and labored getting the pieces ready, cos the task they play is something the rest of us are simply not proficient in. They manage the inventory and are in charge of ferrying the loot to and from the studio. We can have 30-50 pieces all hung up nicely on the racks on time thanks to them. We assure you that this is no easy task. You need to strategize which goes into the car first! They are really Tarzan and Jane in disguise, no prizes for guessing why! (Hint: Brutal Strength) Yes, we love this strength, oops, we mean, this forte of theirs. And food, glorious food! That is their department too! No one ever gets hungry in the studio even after 3 long hours of standing in the cold. ^^ Thank you Law and Jess!
And rolling in last is yours truly, who is really a lady out of sorts. All she does is points and shoots the subject model, puts the photographs in order, thinks of names for the lovely numbers; blogs, twits, and puts up the sneaks on facebook; maintains the website, packs and sends the items to the post office daily, meets the suppliers and source for more delightful stuff for her wonderful shoppers. That is ALL she does! What an amazing task ain't it? And she gets to keep the styles for herself first! (Of cos she is also coerced to wear the numbers that ain't selling as well sobsob). And here is HER, too shy to stand solo in front of the camera, and drags an unwilling hubby along in a decent exposure! ^^
Sharing our styles and supporting them are 2 very important peeps, so important that their feedback and opinions are valued and pondered upon, their criticisms are viewed constructively all the time, and we cannot thank them enough for the love they have given to this little store we claim our own. They have infused their immaculate charm on us, and influenced us in the designs that we must-have, ought-to-have, needn't-have, and taught us some important corporate technicalities that would have otherwise crippled us who ain't that knowledgeable about such, and in doing so gave us a push in moving baby steps ahead. Thank you Jess and Ad, and their charming loves, who have never once complained of the ridiculous amount of moolah they have spent on the pieces which they continue to grab collection after collection! ^^
There are many more people we wanna thank but we don't wanna soothe anyone into lullaby, so we will wrap up with a picture we all love. The blogger has decided to name it "United We Stand" ^^
